Homer was busy playing the Pac-Man game on myPad (spoof iPad) while on duty, neglecting his duties and inadvertently causing a nuclear disaster that led to the complete destruction of the town of Springfield. Stranded there, he assumes full responsibility for rebuilding Springfield and bringing back the town's residents. Homer goes out of his way to find other characters so they can rebuild their homes and he can come back and play the game. With Lisa's help, Homer rebuilds the town of Springfield and retrieves key characters.
