Sonic Power is an action-adventure platformer where players can create different types of characters with different abilities using the "Character Editor" and use the different "Wispon" and "Grappling hook" to perform other attacks and grab items quickly. In addition to using the "Grappling hook" for the rest of the attacks and quick grabs, you can also "double dash" by pairing up with Sonic in certain levels to trigger QTE events. The game also features a new "SOS" mode and a "character rental" mechanic, which allows you to challenge the original levels at a higher difficulty level or play with an internet character.
