"Pokkén Tournament" is a 3D fighting arcade game developed and published by the Bandai Namco Studio authorized by Pokémon. This game began to deploy arcade frames in Japan in the summer of 2015, and landed on the Wii U console platform in March 2016. In September 2017, it landed on the Nintendo Switch platform and named it "POKKÉN TOURNAMENT DX".

When your Support Gauge is full, you can use the L button to call SupportPokémon. they have a variety of effects, such as dealing damage to your opponent's Pokémon, improving the attributes of your fighting Pokémon, and more. Espeon will restore your BattlePokémon's HP! When the support meter is full, you can always ask for help! PokkénTournament DX has three types of attacks: normal attacks, grab attacks and counter attacks, all of which are connected to each other like rock-paper-scissors. Normal attacks trump grab attacks, grab attacks trump counter attacks, and counter attacks trump normal attacks. Different Pokémon specialize in different types of attacks, so you can find your favorite way of fighting. In PokkénTournament DX, battles can alternate between the "Field Phase" where you can run freely in any direction and the "Duel Phase " you can approach your opponent and launch a fierce attack. When you hit your opponent with some attack or a series of attacks, a phase shift occurs. Controls and animations will also change in each phase.
